Friends Since Birth

My good friend, Melissa, and I had our firstborns only 3 days apart.  Josiah was born on July 20th and Katie, on the 23rd.   For the first year of their lives, even though Melissa was living in NC, she would come up to Chesapeake monthly for Katie's pediatrician visits, and we'd always get the babies together.  Now they live in Virginia again, and we go to church together and have started meeting with some other good friends for playdates each Tuesday.  Josiah and Katie have been having so much fun together, and these sweet pictures made me think back to all the old ones we have of them together!

Cousins (aka: buddies, best friends, & "brothers")

John and Josiah may be 18 months apart and technically 3rd cousins but they are more like brothers than anything. I'm so glad they are growing up together. Although they definitely have their not-so-fond of each other moments, overall, they get along so well and they have so much fun together!

Now that's tired!

Today my friend, Danielle, watched Josiah for me so I could go to an appointment and she clearly wore him out! It was hot today so I stopped at McDonald's on the way home and got us both an ice cream cone. When we were getting close to home, I peeked back at him and he was licking the cone but could hardly keep his eyes open and then he fell asleep, cone in hand! That's definitely a first!
