Could it be?

I've decided that everything about pregnancy is really just a mystery. For every symptom that could be one thing, it could just as easily be something else! :)
  • Swelling in one leg: it could be a blood clot, or it could be completely normal.
  • Pain in your lower abdomen before 37 weeks: it could be preterm labor, or the baby might just be positioned akwardly.
  • Dilated 1 cm: you could go into labor tonight, or it could be 4 more weeks.
  • And my latest... what feels like menstrual cramps nearly all day: definitely the onset of early labor, but still... it could take hours, it could take days, it could take weeks.

So while it's definitely hard not to wonder and try to figure out what's going on, I am definitely learning to just make mental notes, and keep on waiting. :) It's not like I really have another option anyway. But.. talk about making a girl crazy! What gets me through: No matter what, BabyW will DEFINITELY be here within the next 4 weeks. Guaranteed. I'd rather it be more like 4 days, but the end is definitely in sight! :)

  2. Melissa, another thought - Cramping is definitely labor; I had it with Alexis (for sure) - Back aches that come and go are also signs of labor - I'm sure you're aware of all this. This is getting so exciting. I want to see the nursery soon. You go girl....Baby W is getting anxious to meet his mama and daddy...

  4. Cramping...ugh! Those are early contractions though :-). I was having them off and on for probably a month before Ms. Jocelyn made her debut (had a few scary episodes in the 20-30 week timeframe as well)...So I'm sure they're doing something to get your little man closer to his grand entrance!

  5. I like this.. it's so true!

We both thought "gushing" meant your water broke too! That's why we were so shocked when she said it didn't. I mean i was honestly convinced. She told me I hadn't peed myself either, so i was like, what happened. i realized I didn't actually say what the gushes were... it's kind of sick, but whatever.

It's pregnancy mucus in watery form... I'd never had that before. she said it could have been because of the heat, causing the mucus to come in a more watery form. She also said it could just be "a sign" that we are nearing the day of delivery.

I walked away pretty confused. I mean now if i have a trickle or gush, what do i do? You know... Pregnancy is a funny thing!!! Everyone has their own story! Wonder what ours will REALLY be like?!
